Well it has happened, our winter residents have all gone back to their respective summer homes. And while we hope they enjoy their summer and being back home with their families and friends; we already miss them.

The local repeaters have become dead for the most part with the exeption of a few Nets. The locals just don’t ragchew much. Not to mention that we just don’t have that many local amateurs in the middle / south end of the county. We really need to figure out a way to promote amateur radio here in Sumter County, Florida.

So we may have yet another quiet summer here in Sumter County as we await the return of the winter residents.
