Sumter County, Florida, has two open-use repeaters that are owned and operated by the Sumter County Office of Emergency Management. The Hog County Amateur Radio Association also owns a repeater that serves Sumter County, Florida. There are several other repeaters that are in the area and are listed as well.
KS4EOC Repeater – 146.925 (-) with a PL: 123.0 located in Sumterville, FL. ** Please note this repeater has been replaced with a Yaesu Fusion System Repeater. It still works on Analog / FM; however, you need to put the PL: 123.0 in for both Encode and Decode; otherwise, you will hear Digital Hash “squelch” when people are talking on the digital side. ** This repeater is accessible via the AllStar Network at Node Number 53446 as well as EchoLink at KD8WAA-R or Node No. 648680.
KI4DYE Repeater – 145.490 (-) with a PL: 123.0 located in Bushnell, FL Note, this repeater is accessible via the AllStar Network at Node Number 40487 and via EchoLink at KX4LEO-R or Node Number 297091.
K4HOG Repeater – 147.030 (+) with a PL: 123.0) located in Sumterville, FL. Note that this repeater is accessible via the AllStar Network at Node Number 49829 and via EchoLink at K4VEB-R or Node Number 294541. Note: this repeater has been replaced and is now a Yaesu Fusion System repeater. This means that if you do not have a Yaesu Fusion System radio, you will need to add the PL Tone of 123.0 for both Decode and Encode; otherwise, when someone is talking on C4FM/Digital side, you will hear what sounds like the open squelch, very annoying.
